The Old Cycle Club
London, 2009
A courtyard house and office carved out of the shell of a Victorian church hall that was previously converted in the 1970's into a Cycle Club Clubhouse. The living spaces occupy the original hall at the rear of the site providing a private sanctuary from the street.
We are undertaking this as a self-build project, built by and for ourselves. The work has been carefully phased to allow us to remain in continual occupation. Phase 1 is complete and planning permission has been granted to extend the front section of the building forwards and upwards with another storey. We are planning to undertake this phase of works in 2011.
